the maximum possible score in a event is 10 points

to advance you must earn a minimum score of 75 points

on first five events Willy had a average of 6.8

the next three his average score was 7.2

What must Willy average on his last two to have a exact score of 75 points

Solution

Wily averaged 6.8 on his first five events so 6.8 x 5 = 34
Willy then averaged 7.2 points on his next 3 events  7.2 x 3 = 21.6
There was 10 events and Willy completed 8 so he had 2 events left
34 + 21.6 = 55.6 After 8 events he had a score of 55.6
75 - 55.6 = 19.4
19.4 divided by 2 = 9.7
Willy Makit needs to 9.7 on his last two events to have a exact score of 75

Manny Kerr  runs a company that specializes in grooming and caring for lawns

Manny has a push mower and powerful riding mower

At one location takes 5 hours with mower

Takes 70 minutes with powerful riding mower

After 90% was cut using the rest was cut with powerful riding mower

How many minutes did it take for Manny to cut the entire lawn

Solution

We need to find 90% of 70 

0.9 x 70 = 63 minutes for power riding mower to mow the 90% of the lawn 

Takes 5 hours with mower to mow entire lawn so into minutes is 5 x 60 = 300 

Takes 300 minutes for mower to mow entire lawn

We need to find 10% of mower 300 divided by 10 = 30

So add them 30 + 63 = 93

So it would altogether take 93 minutes to mow 90% with power mower and 10% with mower

Why video games are good for you

Video games are played by millions of different people all over the world because they are fun and entertaining. Many people nowadays fall into believing the myth that videogames are bad for you, which is wrong. I love video games and so do many other people, and I think we should be able to keep playing them because Video games can actually benefit you in many ways, such as improving reaction time, making you smarter, and strengthen some of your muscles. They teach us lessons which we face in real life in a entertaining way. Not only are video games entertaining but they are actually beneficial which is why we should all continue playing video games. 

Math word problem

 What I know 

1000m = 1km

The train is 1000m long

The tunnel is 3000m long

30 seconds pass since the last car had entered the tunnel until the time the front of the engine emerges from the other end

Determine the speed of the train in kilometres per hour

Solution

The train is 1000m long and the tunnel is 3000m long so you need to subtract  3000m - 1000m = 2000m

30 seconds passed since the last car entered the tunnel so 2000 divided by 30 = 66.7m per second is how fast the train traveled in one second

1 minute has 60 seconds so 66.7 x 60 = 4002m per minute 

1 hour has 60 minutes so you need to multiply by 60 again 4002 x 60 = 240, 120 m per hour

240,120 divided by 1000 =  240.12km

The tran travels 240.12km in one hour  

Art review

I am going to review the second photo because to me it stands out the most out of all three of them. The picture has lots of different colours and shades mixed together which makes it stand out. The picture is two people walking together in a bright rainy day. The parts that interest me the most are the floor and the trees.  The trees make the picture stand out because of the shading. But the part that stands out the most for me is the floor. The floor has a glossy finish which makes it stand out. People usually dont look at the floor in pictures but in this one they will notice it right away. The picture shows that they are happy. I think the meaning of this picture is that anything can make you happy because even though it's raining they are still happy and enjoying the rain. I think thi photo is the best out of the three because it's unique and colerful.

If I were a superhero i´d be Batman

If I were a superhero i´d be Batman. Batman is probably my favourite superhero right now, because of many reasons such as the characters in the series to the whole story and Batman has the best looking costume which I would want to were. In my opinion it would be the funnest to be Batman because of all the abilities he has, hes a billionaire, and he has his own type of vehicle.    

The first major reason I would choose to be Batman is because of his abilities and gadgets. The reason I like Batman is because his abilities are unique from other superheros Batman mainly relies on his genius level intellect, he is trained in many different martial arts which means he could use hand to hand combat whenever needed, he has physical powers which can also be used. In terms of gadgets Batman again has the best compared to other superheros, he has so many different gadgets that he can use which give him an advantage over other superheros such as  the utility belt, remote controlled batarang, electromagnet, freeze grenades, Bat tracer and more.

The second big reason why I would want to be Batman is because he is a billionaire. Not only is Batman a awesome superhero he is also a billionaire he has all the money to do whatever he wants when hes not Batman. Imagine having all this fun with all his different gadgets plus being so rich. With his all his money he was able to get his own batcave in which he stores all his gadgets and his very own Batmobile.

The third reason and probably my favourite reason is he has his own type of vehicle which is the Batmobile. The Batmobile is Batman´s primary mode of transportation. The Batmobile is a awesome vehicle for any superhero but mainly a superhero who does not use many powers. I would love to own and drive in the Batmobile because it has bulletproof armor so it could go through almost anything and not get the damaged, it is really fast and is really fun to drive. The Batmobile can also turn into a motorcycle whenever Batman wants it to. The Batmobile also has built in guns which are useable for Batman anytime.

Overall I would love to be Batman because of these 3 main reasons. Batman is my favourite superhero because of many more small reasons but these 3 stood out which is why I chose to be him.

What I know

There are 30 kids in the classroom

21 students were baseball fans

9 students were non baseball fans 

At least 1 Baseball and non baseball fan was absent

So 29 and 8 Is the maximum for baseball and non baseball fans

More than half of the class was absent so 16 is the least possible number

The probability of asking a baseball fan a question was 3/4

So if at least 1 baseball fan and non fan was absent, more than half of the class was absent, and the probability of asking a baseball fan a question is 3/4 then there are 3 different options for the number of students that were absent that morning.

1.)  12/16  12 baseball fans 4 non baseball fans     

2.)  15/20  15 baseball fans 5 non baseball fans

3.)  !8/24  18 baseball fans  6 non baseball fans

So in general there was some information to find 3 different possibilities of how many students were absent which was 4, 5, or 6 but not enough to know one exact answer so no there was not enough information to know exactly how many students were absent that morning.
